ELUC Statement re our Quality Assurance Processes

Our Higher Education quality assurance framework is evidence-based, student-centred and focused on continuous improvement. It brings together academic governance, annual programme monitoring, external examiner scrutiny, student voice, performance data and institutional self-evaluation to assure standards and enhance the quality of learning opportunities.

Documents law regulation and compliance rules.Document of Standards, Regulations,Requirements and Compliance concept.
Quality assurance is led through the HE Academic Board and the Academic Standards and Quality Sub-committee, which oversee academic regulations, programme review, quality processes and enhancement priorities. These arrangements ensure academic standards are set, monitored and kept under review within a clear governance structure.
Our approach also reflects externality and transparency. External examiner reports, awarding body requirements and external review outcomes are considered through formal processes, while institutional and programme-level monitoring helps identify both good practice and areas for improvement. This supports a culture in which quality assurance is not a one-off event, but part of the ongoing management and enhancement of Higher Education.
