To help remove financial barriers and let you focus entirely on your success, we offer the East Lancashire UC Bursary. This is a dedicated support package including up to £1,000 is designed to make your day-to-day student life easier, more comfortable and entirely focused on your goals.
The best part about our bursary is that it is a “non-repayable grant”. It’s is a financial award that belongs to you, and you never have to pay it back.
We base the bursary on your household income. If your household income is less than £37,500 a year, you are eligible for the bursary.
We offer three different award levels:
We champion your independence. How you spend your bursary is entirely up to you. You can use it to cover whatever makes your educational journey smoother. Need to upgrade to a new laptop for your assignments? Use your bursary. Relying on taxis or public transport to get to campus? The bursary has you covered. Whatever helps you study better, this money is there to support it.
On top of your cash lump sums, we want to ensure you are fuelled and ready to learn every single day you are on campus. If you receive the bursary, we will also load £3.75 per day onto your student card.
You can spend this daily allowance on anything you like in the campus refectory. Whether you want to grab a warm coffee before a morning lecture or sit down for a snack with your course colleagues it gives you something to spend during the day.
