Teaching and working with children, young people and families is some of the most rewarding and impactful work a person can do. It is also a profession that benefits enormously from strong academic grounding alongside practical experience.
At East Lancashire UC, our Education and Teacher Training programmes are designed for people who are serious about developing their practice and building a long-term career in education and related fields.
You will develop a thorough understanding of how people learn, how educational settings function, and how to support the children, young people and families you work with more effectively.
Our programmes are available full time and part time, recognising that many of our students are already working in education and need a route that fits around their professional and personal commitments.
Our students rated us Number 1 for Overall Satisfaction for college-based learning in Lancashire with a 92.2% satisfaction rate.
We also rate well above our benchmarks in every category, including:
Teaching on my course – 95.4%
Learning opportunities – 96.3%
Assessment & feedback – 95.4%
Academic support – 98.1%
Learning resources – 95.7%
